oliana gegprifti

Oliana is the founder of I AM Yoga.

After a successful career in banking she decided to embark in a journey of self-discovery.  The initial spark came from reading Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha, the book that introduced her to the far-eastern philosophy of yoga.  Later, her journey brought her to the concrete jungle where she has been studying yoga philosophy, meditation, and Kriya Yoga from the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for over 20 years. These teachings inform her life and her very existence.

She founded I AM Yoga in 2013 with the intent of adding value to her life and the lives of those around her. Based on the belief that knowledge ought to be shared, she offers her yoga practice in a fun, informative, and safe way and imparts practical tools of self-care to help in the journey of self-realization.

With a curious mind and innate creativity she approaches life with passion and wonder. She expresses her creativity through painting, drawing and design.  Oliana is also passionate about designing spaces that maximize the expression of the inner landscape of their inhabitants, which she does with even more confidence after studying Interior Design at Parsons School of Design.

She is an E-RYT, a Certified Yoga Tune Up® Instructor; Level 1 NeuroKintetic Therapist; NASM Certified Personal Trainer; TRX Suspension Training Certified; and studied Yoga of Sound and Holistic Resonance with Don Conreaux.

Oliana holds a MS in International Relations from The New School; a BBA in Information Systems Management from Berkeley College; and a BS in Food Economics from the University of Tirana.
